Spring... what a wonderful word and season. Sub zero temperatures are not my cup of tea, especially when they are weeks long. So with the new Occasions Catalog and Sale a Bration in full swing, I can pretend there is no snow outside and that it isn't cold out there.
I have some favorites in both of those catalogs, well, let's just say a lot of favorites.  I am also doing 2 of them along with another card for a class tonight. Talk about putting pressure on myself.
You have arrived here from Jackie's blog. Aren't her projects amazing? As always the hop moves in a circle  and you can move backwards or forwards. If at anytime you want to start from the beginning you can do so by clicking the Home button.
Here are my contributions to the Spring Fever Hop.

I absolutely love this stamp set. It is so versatile. This card uses Soft Sky for its base. The next layer is Pear Pizzazz run through (just realized) a retired embossing folder with clouds. I then stamped the boat image from Moon Lake on Whisper White CS and colored it with Blendabilities and added some sponging for the sky. I added the Signo Gel pen to accent the water. The saying from this stamp set is so great. What do you see when you look at this image?

Next I used my very favorite paper from the Occasions Catalog, Painted Blooms DSP.

Using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die I created an envelope for the tag. The flowers were all cut from Coffee filter paper that I dyed with homemade alcohol spray ink. The yellow centers were cut from Crushed Curry CS and along with the flowers and leaves used the Bouquet Bigz L die. Each flower has a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center. I cut the tag top using the Large Scallop Edgelit and finished it off with Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon.  I hand cut the banner stamped with the Happy Birthday from Butterfly Basics stamp set. Once the tag is inserted into the bag it all still fits in a regular envelope.

My next card is a version of a card that Debra did last February. For this hop we all were drawn a name and my draw was Deb's.  Now I must say, Debra is one of those hard acts to follow. I loved this card of hers a year ago, still love it. This is Deb's card.

Here is mine. Same concept, different images and of course orientation.

I purposely left off a sentiment so it could be used for a variety of occasions. I started with a Smokey Slate base. The first layer is Irresistably Yours DSP which I colored with Smokey Slate ink. I then wrapped a piece of Sahara Sand Lace around that. Using the Labels Collection Framelit, I layered Perfect Plum using dimensionals. the top layer is Blushing Bride.  The top layer is stamped with Sheltering Tree in Smokey Slate. All edging was done in Smokey Slate.

That does it for my part in this hop. Next you will go to  Penny's blog. Penny is one of our newer members, but she is so very talented. I admire her work.

  5. Hi Christine, your creativity is always such a delight. I love your CASE of Deb's card using the wonderful Sheltering Tree stamp set. That touch of lace behind the Label shapes is such an elegant touch. The flowers you've created and attached to your tag and treat bag are as lovely as the Painted Blooms DSP.

My favourite among your projects, however, has to be the MoonLake card. The colours you've used make it feel like a peaceful retreat. I love it. Thanks so much for being part of the Blog Hop.

  6. I'm thinking we should have called this the Irresistibly Yours Hop. Seems most stops along the way found it Irresistible! Thanks for sharing the colors and sights of Spring my friend. There has to be an end to Winter soon right? Then again...a warm room, a box of new stamps to play with isn't a bad second best to an actual Spring now is it. You make that scenario look good!

Much as I like them all I think the bag and tag are my favorite. That wonderful paper and your die cut flowers just makes the whole project pop. Is that bag narrower than the usual bag? I'm guessing made with two of the smaller side pieces? Can't wait to CASE this.
Hang in there with all the storms trying to steal your MOJO. The color and your creative energy should melt any snow the season sends your way.
    Hugs and love - J.

  7. Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments.
Jean, I think that it is just camera angle to the bag. I used both pieces of the bag die.
    Love to all.
